- SMART announced a new product called the “Senteo Student Response System”. Attached is the link. Currently, SMART has not announced a price for this devise. http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-US/Products/Senteo/default.htm
- Spring/Summer Deployment of new computers and training Beginning of the 07-08 School year and NOT during the summer by appointment
- When will faculty received training and by whom Beginning of the 07-08 School year and NOT during the summer by appointment
US will get new laptop models, so they will need a little more time to train on their new machines during the deployment in August 07..
LS teachers will get information about the new machines at the last division meeting
- When will new faculty be given computers/laptops Rosie will provide direction regarding battery replacement in new US faculty laptops. Time will be spent during deployment addressing proper battery conditioning to improve longevity. Laptop care and feeding will be located on the portal with the possibility of using a form to verify faculty participation. Kristin is a great resource for drafting a "care and feeding" for laptops with legalease from Alex.
- When will new faculty be trained and by whom

- There is no FrontPage 2007. FrontPage 2003 is the last version. The two new MS options are SharePoint Editor and Expression Web.
Front Page 2003 is available next year. It won't be during the 08-09 school year. We have a license for Dreamweaver that faculty could begin to use and/or they could move their web documents to the portal. Laura will research the cost for 30-40 users next year. Currently we pay $2500 for a site license.
We'll get Dreamweaver upgrade for web page development. The entire suite would be helpful.
We will examine adding licenses for Acrobat and Photoshop elements. Research "baby" Phtotoshop programs to replace Paint Shop Pro.
Software upgrades need to be evaluated.
